Background

Novatti was looking to strengthen its presence in the payments industry and engage a broad range of businesses—from SMBs and startups to global enterprises. To do this, we created a three-part webinar series, in partnership with Visa, that focused on the trends and innovations shaping the future of payments. By addressing current industry challenges and opportunities, we encouraged valuable discussions and fostered strong post-event engagement.

The challenge

In the competitive fintech space, Novatti needed to stand out, not just by participating in conversations but by leading them. The goal was to create a webinar series that was both insightful and practical, offering actionable insights that resonated with a diverse audience, ranging from fintech professionals to businesses navigating their payment strategies.

The solution

I spearheaded the development of The Future of Payments webinar series, ensuring it delivered meaningful content that could be directly applied by attendees in their own businesses. The series covered a range of key topics, including payment innovations, loyalty programs, and the growing role of physical and digital cards in shaping modern transactions.

We aimed to provide more than just knowledge; we wanted to offer practical insights that attendees could immediately use to transform customer experiences and adapt to the ongoing shift toward a cashless society.

Planning and execution

Collaboration and content development

Producing the right content was a big team effort. I worked closely with account and product managers to develop topics that would resonate with our target audience. Their deep knowledge of industry trends and customer needs ensured that our speakers addressed the most relevant and pressing topics in the payments space.

Driving registrations and engagement

Promotion was key to the success of the webinars. I developed a targeted email marketing campaign to reach not only fintech professionals but also small businesses, startups, and larger enterprises. The series was promoted across LinkedIn and other relevant channels, with paid social ads boosting visibility among key decision-makers. We also created dedicated landing pages for each webinar, optimised to drive conversions with clear calls to action and streamlined registration forms.

Personalised invitations were sent to key clients and partners, ensuring we captured the attention of the right people across industries. Timely reminder emails kept the momentum going and ensured high attendance.

Event day execution

On the day of each webinar, I oversaw all logistics, ensuring the event ran smoothly. Using GoToWebinar, I set up and tested the platform in advance to ensure a seamless experience for both speakers and attendees. I managed live polls, moderated Q&A sessions, and monitored audience engagement to keep the session interactive and engaging.

Speakers were well-prepared, thanks to rehearsals and technical dry runs conducted ahead of the event. This allowed us to address any potential technical issues and ensure that the speakers were comfortable with the platform and content. As a result, the webinars were not only professional but also highly interactive, keeping attendees engaged from start to finish.

Post-event follow-up

Post-event engagement was just as important as the webinars themselves. Attendees received personalised follow-up emails, including links to full webinar recordings, key takeaways, and additional resources like whitepapers and case studies. This extended the value of the webinar and reinforced Novatti’s position as a trusted expert in the payments industry.

Feedback was gathered through post-event surveys, providing us with valuable insights into what worked and where we could improve for future events. This iterative approach helped us continuously refine our strategy and deliver even more value in subsequent webinars.
